Three workmen save woman being attacked by her own dog

A MARYBOROUGH woman suffered multiple bite wounds on Thursday after being attacked by her own dog.

Police said it took three tradesmen working nearby to pull the animal off the woman during the attack at her Walker St home around lunchtime.

She had wounds to her torso, legs and arms.

The woman was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital for treatment.

Police were unable to confirm the breed of dog but said it had been secured under the house.
