UPDATE: Truck and car crash on Bruce Hwy

UPDATE

TWO people were involved in a car and truck crash outside a fuel station in Tiaro about 9.15am Wednesday.

The car was badly damaged in the crash and the truck is believed to have a ruptured fuel tank.

Two vehicle crash on the Bruce Hwy at Tiaro: Maryborough's Fire and Rescue station officer Adrian Massingham said the crash on the Bruce Hwy at Tiaro on Wednesday morning around 10.30am involved a truck and car where there were no serious injuries. The occupants of both vehicles were only the drivers with the truck driver sustaining a fractured thumb. Police controlled traffic re-routing vehicles through the back streets of Tiaro and emergency services and road tek where on the scene ensuring the hwy was safe before opening it approximately an hour after the crash.

The drivers of the car and truck received minor injuries.

It is unknown how the crash was caused.

 

EARLIER

A TRUCK is believed to have collided with a car outside a service station in Tiaro.

Emergency services were called to the address on Mayne St about 9.15am.

The Chronicle understands those involved received minor injuries.
