VALENTINE'S DAY: Fraser Coast venues ready for romance

ROMANCE is in the air this Valentine's Day on the Fraser Coast.

Liberty St-John, owner of Aegean Waters French restaurant in Hervey Bay, said her restaurant was booked out every Valentine's Day and this year was no exception.

She said it was a wonderful night to work as everyone was happy and looking forward to celebrating the occasion with their significant other.

Ms St-John said this year there was one table of eight, which was unusual, but also plenty of couples looking for a romantic night out.

"We're looking forward to Valentine's Day, we always book out on Valentine's Day.

"It's a joyous night to work," she said.

Meanwhile in Maryborough, the Tinana Hotel is hosting an event for the most romantic day of the year, with a delicious menu just made for couples.

The hotel's co-manager Samantha Gerry said the venue was hosting two sittings to give as many loved-up diners as possible the chance to have an enjoyable night out.

The first sitting will start at 5.30pm and the second sitting will start at 7pm.

For $50 each, diners will get a delicious three-course meal and Ms Gerry said the hotel's new chef had done an amazing job with the menu.

She said it was the first time the hotel had hosted a Valentine's Day event and they were hoping it would be a huge success.
