Wet weather is par for the course

I wish I could say that the golf has been great of late.

I can't though and it has nothing to do with the players either.

Rain has played havoc with us and very little golf has been played.

We did make a start last Saturday but the heavens opened once again when we had a full field on the course.

With the course already waterlogged from the midweek rain, we had no choice but to cancel play.

However, the morning field did complete their rounds and Hervey Bay's Michael Lewis won the event with 68 nett on a count back from Ron Maher.

The Friday Club was the only other competition that went ahead for the week and Ben Gator had the best score with 39 points to win B-grade from Brett Lindley (38).

A count back was needed to decide A-grade and Tony Stallard won it with 36 points from Craig Backer.

Here's for dry weather.
