Workshop topics include growing your own herbs and vegies
RESIDENTS have been invited to learn how to grow their own herbs and vegetables and a range of DIY tips at Bunnings workshops in April.
Bunnings Warehouse area manager Kent Payne said the April DIY workshops would help local residents gain home DIY inspiration and gardening tips.
"April is an ideal time to plant hearty winter vegetables to harvest in the approaching cooler months and the Grow Your Own Workshops will take Fraser Coast residents through the planting, growing and harvesting stages," he said.
Mr Payne said as well as the Grow Your Own Workshops, residents could learn a range of helpful tips and advice on outdoor decking, gardening, tiling and plastering during April.
He said free Kids DIY Workshops would also run each weekend throughout April, with a range of Anzac and Easter-themed activities to ensure lots of fun for the kids.
- April 4 and 5: Decking DIY workshops; Easter craft for kids
- April 11 and 12: Gardening DIY workshops on the best time to plant and how to look after gardens during the colder months; garden craft and garden creatures workshops for kids
- April 18 and 19: Grow your own gardening DIY workshops about tips for planting, caring for and harvesting herbs and vegetables; grow your own DIY workshops for kids
- April 25 and 26: Tiling and plastering DIY workshops; create something meaningful for the Anzac centenary and woodwork workshops for kids
The adult workshops are on at 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm but times for the children's workshops vary so phone Bunning Hervey Bay on 4128 5100 or Bunnings Maryborough on 4123 9600.
