Young entrepreneur rebuilds strength with eco business

IN 2015 Kiarra Lynch hit rock bottom.

She was living in Melbourne, and her mental health was at an all time low.

"I spent a year trying to get back on my feet, but failing every time," she said.

"I was hospitalised in the psychiatric unit three times in the one year, sent to a mental health recovery facility for two months, but nothing seemed to be helping."

The then 22-year-old was forced to return back to her hometown Maryborough, leaving behind the life that she had built in Melbourne.

"I left my job, my university, my friends, even my favourite coffee shop," Kiarra said.

"My life seemed to be in ruins with no way of getting back on my feet."

It wasn't until Kiarra reconnected with an old friend, Luke that she finally started to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

"He helped guide me back to my true self, I finally felt like me again, and with that guidance, love, compassion and support he gave to me, I was able to launch myself into a journey of healing, self discovery and growth.

"I found my home, and realised that home is not a place at all, but instead it is a little corner of your soul that has been there all along waiting to be found."

With that founding of home, peace and the connection with her true self, came the need to fuel Kiarra's passions.

"I had left behind the degree I was working on at university in Melbourne," she said.

"I was studying Naturopathy and loved it, immensely.

"I never wanted to give up on that dream, so I decided to utilise the skills I had learned at uni, to make my own skincare products."

In July 2017, now fiancé, Luke and Kiarra welcomed a beautiful baby daughter.

"I based my skincare products around her - I wanted to make them gentle, natural and full of love, from my heart to hers.

"I really enjoyed making them, it is a wonderful feeling when you do things from your heart and passion."

Recently Kiarra had an epiphany where she decided to share her products with the world.

"My journey has taught me a lot, I have grown a lot, and through that growth I have had love bursting at the seams of my heart.

"I think it is important that we as humans give our love out into the world and move our heart outward to make the world a happier and kinder place, and what better way for me to move my heart outward than to make natural skincare products for the world around me, made with love and genuine passion."

Elly Hope Organics was created - an eco friendly and natural skincare range, including natural cleaning products which were free of chemicals and toxins.

"I named my new products after my daughter, Eloise Hope. I am really excited to share the love with everyone.

"I will also offering a recycling program to make it even more earth friendly and cost effective for both the customer and myself.

"It has been an exhilarating journey watching my life crumble, to building it back up with a whole new outlook and genuine love for life itself.

"Now my passion lies in giving my love to the world, which I will do through this business endeavour.

"We are all flowers waiting to bloom, sometimes some of us just take a little longer - probably because we have extra magical petals to blossom! so it takes extra amount of time.

"Allow yourself the freedom and patience to blossom, even when it rains."
