Dr Geralyn McCarron discusses the symptoms experienced by children living near the CSG mine in Tara, Western Queensland. She said she believed the people in Aldershot would experience the same health issues if an open cut coal mine was opened in the area. A New Hope Group spokeswoman said CSG and open cut coal mining were two very separate operations using different methods of extraction.
